I took my team here for breakfast before a work event because I had to share the fantastic Chicken & Waffles experience here! They are amazing! It's half a chicken, fried to perfection with crispy skin and delicious meat, served with a waffle baked perfectly and strawberry butter (with actual strawberry pieces in the butter!). On the side is their signature hot maple syrup, which pairs perfectly with the strawberry butter waffle and crispy chicken. All complimented by fast, friendky service. We were in and out in 30 mins. HIGHLY recommend!!!!

The food was tasty! Good price. Great price Great portions. The server was respectful and attentive. My only complaint is the restaurant is a little crowded, the inside and the outside.

We had a nice Sunday brunch at this Raleigh staple. The service was quick and efficient and my order of The Bissell Breakfast was still delicious. I got a biscuit with a side of gravy as My "bread" side and it was really good. My one regret is that I didn't get the chicken & waffles. After seeing a nearby table order them, they looked fantastic.

Wow. Possibly the best diner I've ever been to. From NY and visiting family in Raleigh we ended up here over the holidays. Everything from the Christmas decor to our lovely server Michael to the mind blowing food was the perfect hometown diner experience. We had the croissant French toast and huevos rancheros. I'm not a huge French toast person but my girlfriend is. We both agreed there has never been a better French toast. Just phenomenal. The huevos rancheros on friend flour tortillas were also a top contender for best huevos I've had. We come to Raleigh every year for Christmas. We WILL be back here!!!!

Since moving to Raleigh, we have been looking for a quick, easy, end of the work week place for great homemade food and relaxed atmosphere. We lucked out and found Metro Diner. The service is fast. The food is great. Metro Diner is perfect so much so it is now on the rotation. 👍👍

Amazing food! I didn’t realize this place was on Diner, Drive-Ins, and Dives but now I have to go find the episode (and it explains why it’s so packed lol *but worth the wait) I got the famous chicken and waffles and my foodie got the steak and scramble both. Both 10 out of 10! It’s reasonable priced for the amount of food you get and everyone is very friendly!

Great food. Great service. I always bring friends and family here when they visit from out of town. The chicken and waffles is delicious and generally enough to feed 2 people.

Oh man, where do I begin. First off service was some of the best I've seen out of a diner in forever. Second the meal wait times were amazing and the food was even better! Sure the wait was a little lengthy but eh, whaddya gonna do when it's lunch rush hour, of course it's going to be that way. Definitely a great place, would come back!

My husband and I wanted to try a new place for breakfast for our anniversary and Metro Diner was recommended by friends. Absolutely delicious meal and the service was phenomenal! We even got visited by the Manager/Owner and were treated to an amazing slice of chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary compliments of the restaurant. I cannot recommend enough if you haven’t been here before you are missing out!!! We will definitely make this one of our regulars and can’t wait to try for lunch or dinner!!!

We actually came here on the way to a different breakfast place. We were certainly not disappointed! They have really, really good coffee! I had the fruity waffle that is stuffed with blueberries which made my day and there are strawberries and bananas on top. My boyfriend had the fried Chicken which he absolutely loved and it was very juicy and crunchy. He mostly got it because when we were going to order he noticed five plates going out at one time and it looked like they put every chicken from every Chicken Coop on the plates. He genuinely enjoyed the strawberry butter that came with his waffles and he doesn't usually like strawberry so that made our day. We can't wait to come back and try something else!
